Terms of Service
By using RootSign, operated by Goldman Properties LLC ("we," "us"), you agree to these terms.
The service
RootSign lets you upload a PDF, place signature/initials/date/text fields, and send it to one or more signers to complete electronically. It's provided free of charge, with no account required for senders or signers, on an "as-is" basis.
Your responsibilities
You're responsible for the accuracy of names/emails you enter, for the content of documents you upload, and for determining whether electronic signature is legally appropriate and valid for your specific document and jurisdiction. Certain document types (e.g. wills, certain court filings, notarized documents, and others depending on your jurisdiction) may not be eligible for electronic signature under the U.S. ESIGN Act, UETA, or equivalent laws elsewhere — you are responsible for knowing whether your document qualifies.
Acceptable use
You may not use RootSign to create, send, or collect signatures on fraudulent, illegal, or deceptive documents, to impersonate any person, or to violate any signer's rights.
No legal or professional advice
RootSign is a document-workflow tool. We do not provide legal advice, and using RootSign does not make us a party to, or guarantor of, the legal validity or enforceability of any document signed through it.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Goldman Properties LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits, or documents, arising from your use of RootSign, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Goldman Properties LLC from claims arising out of your use of the service, your documents, or your violation of these terms.
Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue RootSign, in whole or part, at any time without liability. As described in our Privacy Policy, documents and their records are automatically and permanently deleted 7 days after upload — keep your own copy of any completed document.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
